1. Who are you?
My name is Erik Eurelings. I’m a father of three and live in the south of the Netherlands, in the lovely village of Schimmert. I run my own company called Artrofy. I’m a healthcare professional with a strong drive to help people get better. With my background in healthcare, I believe that technology—especially ultrasound—is a powerful tool to improve the quality of care. I enjoy working with others on innovative solutions that enhance diagnostics and treatment. At Usono, I use my knowledge and experience to make ultrasound more accessible and efficient for healthcare providers.
2. What experience did you have before joining Usono?
I started my career as a physiotherapist, later specializing as a manual therapist and musculoskeletal ultrasound practitioner. Over time, I developed into a musculoskeletal therapist, combining clinical expertise with advanced imaging techniques to support diagnosis and treatment. This hands-on experience in patient care has given me a deep understanding of how ultrasound can be used effectively in clinical practice, and it continues to inspire me to improve healthcare through innovation.
3. Why did you choose to work at Usono?
I chose to work at Usono because I believe in their mission to improve ultrasound workflows and make technology more accessible for healthcare professionals. As someone who uses ultrasound in daily practice, I immediately saw the potential of Usono’s innovations to enhance patient care. Joining Usono allows me to bridge my clinical experience with technological development and contribute to solutions that truly support healthcare providers in delivering better care.
4. What has been your best experience so far?
One of my best experiences at Usono has been collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that shares the same passion for improving healthcare. Being able to contribute my clinical insights to product development and see those ideas come to life has been incredibly rewarding. It’s inspiring to work in an environment where innovation is driven by real-world needs, and where my background as a musculoskeletal therapist is truly valued.
5. Why should people contact you?
People should contact me if they’re looking for practical insights into how ultrasound can be used effectively in clinical practice—especially functional dynamic ultrasound. With my background in physiotherapy, manual therapy, and musculoskeletal ultrasound, I understand both the clinical and technical sides of care. I’m passionate about using ultrasound not just as a diagnostic tool, but as a way to observe movement and function in real time. I enjoy helping healthcare professionals improve their diagnostic skills and workflows, and I’m always open to sharing knowledge, collaborating on ideas, or exploring new ways to make ultrasound more impactful in daily practice.

6. Is there anything else you’d like to share?
I’d like to emphasize how important it is to keep bridging the gap between clinical practice and technological innovation. Functional dynamic ultrasound has opened up new possibilities in musculoskeletal care, and I believe we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible. I’m excited to be part of a team that’s helping shape the future of ultrasound, and I’m always open to connecting with others who share that vision or want to learn more.
