Project

Usono was asked to develop a probe fixation device on a flexible arm. The context of use is in the incubator or at the OR. The device is designed for non-clinical and clinical studies on monitoring brain activity of premature babies (during surgery). To find the correct scanning window at the fontanel of the baby a certain degree of freedom is needed. Therefore, the flexible arm is implemented, and the probe could freely move (within certain predefined limits) after fixating it in the device.

Usono delivered several iterations prototypes and underlying documents to comply to regulations.
