Usono was asked to develop a needle guide for use during percutaneous electrolysis treatments. Ultrasound guided insertion of the needle is critical for determining and reaching the best spot of the needle tip for optimal treatments results. However, ultrasound guided insertion is difficult and has a steep learning curve. One of the difficulties is inserting the needle exactly in the middle of the ultrasound plane. The needle guide ensures correct placement of the needle and even very novice users were able to insert the needle exactly in the middle of the plane.

Usono delivered user & system requirements, several iterations prototypes and underlying documents to comply to regulations and user test reports.
